RSS has partnered with Callirius AG and other innovative ventures such as OCELL, Klim GmbH, and Open Forest Protocol to implement cutting-edge digital measurement, reporting, and verification (dMRV) processes in the voluntary carbon market (VCM). We are working together to promote transparency, trust, credibility, and ethical principles within the realm of carbon projects and the VCM.

The VCM is essential for businesses and individuals seeking to support climate solutions and counterbalance their residual and hard-to-abate emissions with certified carbon credits. However, concerns about the legitimacy and effectiveness of some carbon credits have mounted, putting the VCM at risk of losing the trust of those seeking to make a positive impact on the environment.
dMRV processes enable continuous assessment and update of a project’s performance, fostering trust in such projects. They provide investors and buyers with transparency and confidence, simplify data gathering and help to ensure that carbon projects utilize their capital genuinely towards meaningful CO2 reductions and removals.

The digital monitoring, reporting and verification tools “VerifAId” developed by RSS will innovate the monitoring component of climate action projects. This partnership with like-minded innovators will foster greater collaboration and trust among all stakeholders in the VCM and redefine the standards for the whole sector.
