Der Klimawandel hat sich als ein wichtiger Risikofaktor für die globale öffentliche Gesundheit herausgestellt, der allein agiert oder die Auswirkungen der breiten Palette der gut untersuchten unmittelbaren und mittelbaren Gesundheitsfaktoren verändert. Eine von der DFG geförderte Forschungsgruppe im Bereich Public Health untersucht, wie die Wettervariabilität drei wichtige klimasensitive Gesundheitsergebnisse beeinflusst: (i) Unterernährung im Kindesalter, (ii) Malaria und (iii) Hitzestress.
